Annual Petaluma River Cleanup

It’s spring-cleaning time for the Petaluma River! Teams of volunteers meet at the Petaluma Marina and collect hundreds of pounds of trash from the river. Dumpsters are provided at the event and later hauled away. A variety of educational displays, music and food are onsite for this annual, grassroots event.

Round The Rock Alcatraz Challenge

Every August, the He’eNaluMarin-Sonoma Outrigger Canoe Club and the NCOCA present the Round the Rock Challenge, a 6-person outrigger canoe race starting at the Golden Gate Bridge, around Alcatraz to the Bay Bridge, and then back past the Wharf back to the launch point at Crissy Field in San Francisco.
