Stand Up Paddling (SUP)

PSCC leads the initiative for a more walkable, bikeable, boatable river.

Stand Up Paddling (SUP)

Stand Up Paddling (SUP) is the latest craze to sweep our waterways, and has been likened by some enthusiasts to walking on water. Paddlers stand astride their boards, which are more stable versions of their surf cousins, and use long paddles to propel them. A typical board is 10-14′ long and weighs 30-40 pounds.

How to get involved…

There are two companies providing SUP sales, rentals, and lessons in Petaluma: Clavey Paddlesports, an orignal PSCC partner, and Petaluma Stand Up Paddle, based at the Petaluma Marina.
