Sailing, sailing...

Sailing, sailing…

This four-day afternoon camp allows anyone, aged 12 and above, to work with 8′ El Toros, a 14′ Lido and a 14′ FJ to learn how or practice again to work with the wind to move a boat. Petaluma’s turning basin, future site of The Floathouse board and boat rental center PSCC is building for the community, is a prime spot for catching a breeze in these small boats. Learn technique and terminology and come away with a newfound respect for one of Petaluma’s best natural resources: the wind!

Cost is $175.00. We also work with Mentor Me Petaluma and the Petaluma Community Foundation to offer scholarships.

Who benefits from river access?

Wanderers, voters, birders, swimmers (sometimes unintentionally!) Cyclists, community leaders, water contemplators, kids! Picnickers, collegiate competitors, friends, mud-lovers, tide observers. Rowers, ecologists & biologists, canoeists, businesspeople. Hikers, fishermen and women, homeowners, kayakers, environmental advocates, fitness enthusiasts. Naturalists, coaches, photographers… and what about you?
